Video and pastell drawing, 2020. In Kyrie Eleison we’re confronted with a set dinner table that has been abandoned. The table has been left in chaos, the food left to rot. Are these the leftovers from a wild party or have the dinner guests suddenly been forced to flee, never to return? Kyrie Eleison is a common exclamation within the Christian mass, translated to Lord have mercy, a cry for help and protection. In a time where gluttony and partying is being played out in parallel with an ongoing destruction and decay – where do we turn with our cry for help?
