“I am flying 11 900 meters above Mediterranean sea. I am listening to Arthur Rubinstein – Nocturne No. 15 in F Minor, Op. 55 / No. 1 by Chopin. I am watching alpine extreme sports, off-piste skiing in the Alps, without sound, at the airplane TV monitors. I am looking out the window and all I can see is the deep blue color of the ocean. There is no sky, no land, just a giant, shimmering metallic picture of white and blue water. And in the middle of this picture: two tiny ships. I am thinking about the grand size of the Mediterranean sea. I am thinking about all the coastlines by the Mediterranean sea. I am thinking about all the boats and ships heading from one coast to another. The whole situation is like a tribute to something but I am not exactly sure for what.”
